Keynote of Kevin O’Connor (UCD/BiOrbic) at the CBE JU Cluster Projects’ Workshop on Bio-based materials

The Circular Bio-based Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) event aimed to showcase cutting-edge research and innovation in the bio-based materials sector, focusing on scaling up bio-based solutions in agriculture and packaging, giving special attention to circularity and end-of-life alternatives.  

The workshop was held in person and included presentations from representatives of selected CBE JU projects, as well as networking moments designed to foster meaningful exchanges among participants. Additionally, coordinators from other relevant Horizon Europe projects, European Commission services, Executive Agencies, and representatives from the Biobased Industry Consortium were be present.

This was the first of a series of workshops that the CBE JU organises to bring together EU-funded projects in key topics for the circular economy to collect insights from experts in the field and build synergies between the projects.
