1st Bioplastics Recycling Cluster Talk: New Technologies & Digital Tools for Sorting Bioplastics

ReBioCycle is proud to announce that the first Bioplastics Recycling Cluster Talk took place successfully on 9 September 2025, marking the launch of this new expert-led online series dedicated to the sorting and recycling of bioplastics.

This first talk featured Carles Musoll (PICVISA) and Gemma Figuerola Miró (Leitat), project partners from MoeBIOs, who shared their expertise on new technologies and digital tools for sorting and recycling bioplastics, with a focus on Near-Infrared (NIR) technologies.

This was the first in a series of talks that will bring together stakeholders from recycling, policy, research, and industry. Our second talks on 7 October, will delve deeper on the topic of sorting bioplastics, putting the emphasis on AI powered tools.
