Join us for the 3rd Talk in our Bioplastics Recycling Cluster Talk series of expert-led online talks, focused on How to set up cost-competitive sorting and recycling schemes for bioplastics?
This event is part of a broader knowledge-sharing initiative by three research and innovation projects funded by the Circular Bio-Based Europe Joint Undertaking: ReBioCycle, MoeBIOS, and PROSPER. These projects aim to develop practical and scalable solutions for bioplastics recycling — from collection to the manufacturing of new products.
In this third talk, we highlight the design criteria for recycling bioplastics and the experience of Sulapac becoming recyclable.
The topic is highly relevant in the era of implementing the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation.
You will hear insights from Lorette Du Preez, Head of Sustainability and Environmental Affairs at European Bioplastics, and Laura Tirkkonen-Rajasoalo, co-founder and Chief Compliance Officer at Sulapac. Both experts are working within the technical committees of the European Standardisation Body CEN on the development of recycling criteria for biodegradable plastics.
