Torwash successfully completed large-scale sorting trials for PHA and PLA
In September 2025, as part of the ReBioCycle project, Torwash successfully completed large-scale sorting trials at NTCP. Torwash processed a net total of 10 tons of mixed plastics to successfully obtain sorted fractions of PLA and PHA bioplastics.
Materials were kindly supplied by Happy Cups, Bio-Box, and Kaneka Belgium NV, and by project partner TotalEnergies Corbion.
This is a huge step forward in creating a more sustainable future for plastics!
Talk to Pavlina Nanou or Jan Pels at Torwash if you wish to learn more.
